DataSafe
is the data processing component of
RetailTouch.
 RetailTouch
has its own copyrighted DataSafe
system to
protect its data across any number of linked PCs, avoiding the need for
expensive, dedicated backup devices. This unique system also adds to its
exceptional speed, reliability and scalability, allowing even large in-store and
multi-store operations to run on simple, economical PC links. This avoids
the need for highly expensive network operating systems and hardware, or for
dedicated leased phone lines between stores, allowing for fast, efficient
communications using dial-up modems, connecting directly or via the Internet.
DataSafe
also
provides very advanced functions such as fully automated Emergency Stand-Alone,
Data Roll-back/Merge and Data Redundancy, normally only seen on very large
systems at many
times the cost. This allows unrivalled
operating continuity, data safety and exceptionally easy "off-line" sales, with
automated data merging when back on-line, eg. for when problems occur with
cables, networking, hardware or operating systems, and for super-easy "sidewalk
sales" or off-site sales.
